June 3 – Ontario State of Emergency & Back to Work Plan

To all staff:

Yesterday, the Ontario government voted to extend the state of emergency until June 30th after debating the issue for several hours. This means that many restrictions are still in place and they will only be lifted when there is improvement in the pandemic situation.

ACI is planning a safe return to work plan that will not only adhere to government guidelines but will also ensure that strong safety measures are in place for the well being of our employees, customers and visitors. The planning process will include phases in the return to work plan while considering social distancing,  job rotation, job shifts, scattered breaks, scattered lunch hours, etc. It is our intent to implement the plan once the state of emergency has been lifted. More information on the plan will be communicated to you at a later date.

As we have already informed you, ACI is continuously monitoring our specific business situation. The Senior Management team has assessed the impact of our current business requirements and in consultation with Divisional Managers we have been gradually bringing back the minimum amount of employees to effectively run the departmental job requirements. Managers will continue to assess their business needs and will use their discretion to bring back staff members that are needed to efficiently run their departmental needs.

If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact any member of the Senior Management Team.

Be safe and stay healthy.
